If you’ve been paying attention to the construction going on in downtown Raleigh for the last couple of years, you probably know apartment buildings are sprouting like weeds. In fact, we featured apartment construction as one of the local trends in real estate in 2012.
I just received an email from the Community Manager of the project, and was told that they are looking forward to having new neighbors move-in as early as May 11th, with the leasing office opening as early as April 14th. It’s amazing to know that an entirely new community of folks will be living in our downtown area within a couple of months, very exciting! Here’s some additional information about the building he shared with me:
St. Mary’s Square will feature studios, one bedroom and two bedroom units ranging in size from 500 square feet up to 1200 square feet. The community will feature a two story fitness area, club rooms, lounges, computer center, and central courtyard with pool, outdoor kitchen, and plenty of lounging space. The units will feature granite counters, stainless steel appliances, upgraded lighting and plumbing fixtures, and many other condo like specifications above and beyond typical apartment grade specifications.
There’s also this information flyer which includes a lot of the impressive amenities they’re going to offer for their community. Now, those amenities will come at a price. These apartments are being branded as luxury or boutique, and the prices do reflect this. Looking at the price list, it seems studios will range from $995 (532 sqft) to $1300 (636 sqft), one bedrooms from $1160 (646 sqft) to $1490 (813 sqft), and 2 bedrooms from $1985 (1160 sqft) to $2280 (1301 sq ft). This is the base price, with additional monthly fees for other things to consider like trash/storm water fee ($10/month), pet rent ($20 per pet/month), storage closet ($100/month) and a reserved parking space fee ($40/month).
I look forward to meeting some of our new downtown residents soon! If you need additional specific information about this or any other project downtown, feel free to contact me any time!
